Concerning the Cacao…
Our raw, organic butter is different from other products on the market. The cacao plant produces cacao butter (Theobroma cacao). Fresh cacao beans are removed from the pod, and they are air dried at low temperatures. The beans are then mashed and pressed to extract the oil after being run through a roller to separate their outer membranes. The “butter” is obtained from the cacao nibs after the oil has been pressed out of them, being separated from the fibrous powder.
