Raaka’s 100% Cacao comes from Kokoa Kamili in Tanzania. This cacao operation is committed to both supporting their local Tanzanian farming community and improving the quality and reputation of the beans that come from their region.
To this end, Kokoa Kamili buys raw beans at above-market prices directly from local farmers. They then ferment and dry the beans on-site, providing a consistent, high-quality bean. After drying, the beans are shipped to Raaka’s Brooklyn factory, where they’re turned into small batches of chocolate bars for your enjoyment.
